PEQ Worker stream: Quebec Experience Program
Regulated consultant, RCIC R520189
The PEQ Worker stream allows certain workers who have gained eligible work experience in Quebec to apply for permanent selection, according to MIFI criteria.
Processing time
Quebec selection times vary with MIFI volume. The federal permanent residence stage that follows often takes around 6 months.
Estimate only, based on times typically observed with IRCC or MIFI. Times vary by visa office, application volume and file complexity. They are not a guarantee.
The Worker stream of the Quebec Experience Program (PEQ) is for certain people who have accumulated eligible work experience in Quebec and who demonstrate the required French level.
As with the Graduate stream, a favourable MIFI decision results in a CSQ. The permanent residence application is then submitted to IRCC.
We review the nature and duration of the employment against the National Occupational Classification and MIFI instructions, then assemble the selection file.
Document checklist
The detailed list of required documents and additional items is shared after a consultation, once your file is opened.
